Weather
Don’t worry. You will get wet in the water anyways, so Lessons will be held on rainy days as well. We will notify you if the weather persists.
Eat and Sleep Well the Night Before!
Surfing is a fun sport, but it is also a strenuous sport. Eat well and get enough sleep especially the night before your lesson.
Don’t party hard the night before.
Don’t skip breakfast on your lesson day. Such acts will jeopardize the safety of you and the others.
You may be asked to forfeit your lesson if we notice any of your inappropriate behavior and actions.
When?
Surf lessons are held every day during the summer season (June-August) except Wednesday and days that the weather and surf conditions persist.
During the other months (November to March) second・fourth Tuesday and every Wednesday are our days off.
What time?
Please be here at 9:30am. We will finish by 12:30pm so that you can enjoy your lunch at the restaurants nearby.
The actual lesson will start from (10:00am to 12:00pm)
We will notify you if there may be a slight change to the time we start due to the weather and shifting tide of that day.
Where?
Meet in front of SSH
Bring:
Your bath towel, beach sandals, shampoo, swim wear, clothing, sunscreen and drinking water.
(Have your swim wear on (especially for ladies) when you come over so that changing into the wetsuit would be easier and quicker. During the summer season, you can bring a T-shirt to wear over your swim wear for sunscreen instead of wearing a wetsuit.)
*Don’t forget to bring Gatorade or the like for hydration during the summer season! The sun is brutal, and you can easily get heatstroke! We will have a cooler box ready.
